Lubbock Area Baptist Association exists to be a catalyst for churches to partner in fulfilling the Great Commission.  

We desires to partner with churches in answering their calling in ministry, missions and mentoring; working together to develop encouraging relationships and healthy congregations

Craig Curry

Director of Missions

Dr. Craig Curry will serve as the Director of Missions for the Lubbock Area Baptist Association. A fifth-generation Baptist minister raised in Texas, Dr. Curry sensed God’s call to ministry at an early age and has devoted his life to serving the local church and strengthening communities for the sake of the gospel.

​

He holds a Bachelor of Behavioral Science and a Master of Divinity from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Doctor of Ministry from George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Most recently, he served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Plano, and has also pastored churches across Texas, including First Baptist Church in Cisco and First Baptist Church in Dripping Springs. Dr. Curry is known for his collaborative leadership, heart for pastors, and commitment to unity and cooperation.

Craig and his wife, Fallon, were married in 2003 and have four children: Lylah, Shepherd, Herschel, and Theodore. Together, they share a deep passion for the local church, missions, and advancing the gospel through partnership and service.
