Director of Missions Candidate Announcement

This letter comes on behalf of the LABA Director of Missions Search Committee to share important and exciting news regarding the future leadership of the Lubbock Area Baptist Association. After many months of prayer, listening, interviews, and discernment (and many great candidates), we are pleased to announce that the committee will be recommending Dr. Craig Curry as our candidate for Director of Missions.

 

Dr. Curry will be formally introduced at our Quarterly Meeting on Sunday, January 4, at 4:00 pm, hosted at Calvary Baptist Church. During this meeting, Dr. Curry will have the opportunity to share, and the association will be asked to vote at that time on the committee’s recommendation. Following the meeting, there will be light snacks and fellowship, providing time for conversation and connection.

 

Throughout the search process, we have been encouraged by Dr. Curry’s deep love for the local church, his heart for pastors and associations, and his passion for advancing the gospel through cooperation, partnership, and community engagement. We are grateful for the Lord’s guidance and look forward to taking this next step together as an association. We believe you will love Dr. Craig Curry.
